Rule 62 Group
The Rule 62 Group of Lawrence, Kansas, began on September 18th, 2008, when a group of drunks decided, "Drunks need something to do on a Saturday night!"
The first meetings were held in an apartment at 6th and Wisconsin. Folks enjoyed the study, the fun, and the fellowship so much that after a year, it had grown too large for the apartment.
We moved to Plymouth Congregational Church and have since started several meetings known as the Rule 62 Group of AA. In 2021, following 18 months of online-only meetings, we moved our in person meeting(s) one block down Vermont Street to our current home at Trinity Episcopal Church.
As the Big Book says, "We insist on having fun!"
